Melissa is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) built on a career of clinical instruction and adult transition special education. Her clinical practice focuses completely on providing strengths-based ABA interventions, self-determination programming (SDP), independent living skills instruction, and vocational capability pathways for neurodiverse populations.
Serving as a multi-site Teacher of Record for Special Education (Moderate/Severe), Melissa has led programs combining functional education plans with independent daily living skills. As an Adult Day Program Supervisor and Community Liaison managing vocational services for over 90 adults with developmental disabilities, she engineered job placements, organized Paid Internship Programs (PIP), and negotiated transitions toward Competitive Integrated Employment (CIE).
Her background as an Independent Living Skills Instructor within the California Self-Determination Program (SDP) model allows her to help families and Regional Center clients manage home economics, community safety, and long-term personal autonomy.
"Every single individual with a developmental disability deserves uncompromised access to structured learning environments, functional life skills architecture, and the precise behavior analytical support required to claim their path to an autonomous, self-determined life."
